Founder & Dream Weaver
Beverly McAfee has been a force of compassion, vision, and action in Marietta for decades. She is the driving force behind Marietta Mentoring for Leadership and has dedicated her life to mentoring those around her. She cares deeply about helping students achieve their full potential and reach for their dreams.
Beverly is an active member of First United Methodist Church. She has served and continues to serve on numerous boards and committees…there are simply too many to list. She works tirelessly to make Marietta one of the best places to live and learn.
She is truly a force to be reckoned with and she greets each day with the goal of getting the support needed for her various causes. Her motto has always been, “If it can’t be done in Marietta, then it can’t be done anywhere!”
Marietta High School Program Coordinator
Claire Dodd, a former Blue Devil herself, works closely with our students as the Program Coordinator. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. Throughout her 4 years in Athens, Claire led tours for prospective students and parents through the UGA Visitors Center. Her experience working closely with the university paired with her youthful perspective, brings a wealth of knowledge surrounding the college application process. She has a passion for encouraging, inspiring and exposing students to new opportunities and perspectives that will allow them to recognize their potential and grow in their identity.
Middle School Program Coordinator
After working with kids for years in England and Brazil, Allie developed a passion for working with Middle School students. She moved back to metro Atlanta, where she began working as the Middle School Program Coordinator for Mentoring For Leadership. An avid reader and writer, Allie spends her free time writing books for teens and below, and hopes to one day be published. When not hanging out with her students, she runs a flower company designing arrangements for weddings and events. Allie is a lover of all things creative and enjoys encouraging those same passions within the teens she works with.
Meghan brings both a love of Marietta and expertise in event planning to the Mentoring for Leadership team.
